We talked about the importance of brushing our teeth and then we made mouths full of "teeth" using marshmallows & made toothbrushes & cut our own bristles!
They are LOVING eating their own lunches at school! We are working on less talking and more eating, as the first day everyone took about 45 minutes to eat and I know they don't give them that much time in Kindergarten!:) Other than that, they are enjoying lunch time and have done a great job with this transition.
We have been practicing cutting a lot more lately. This is something you can help your child practice at home, by drawing simple shapes or squiggles on a paper and asking them to cut them out. As their fine motor skills develop, this skill will become much easier. By the end of the year, they should be able to cut out simple shapes with ease.
We learned about TIME this week & will continue to work on learning to tell the time by looking at a clock. This is an advanced skill, but it is never to young to talk about it and we are focusing on what the hour hand and the minute hand tell us.
Music: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star & we used Tambourines with our singing time!
