MEET THE TEACHER
Hi! My name is Mrs. Staci
and I am SO excited to be your preschool teacher this year! It’s going to be a
fun year, full of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what the
year has in store for us. I want to know ALL about you, but first I am going to
tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised in
Mesa, AZ and am the middle of seven children! I love my family so much and feel
blessed that we are all married and all still live close by! After I graduated
high school, I traveled to Hefei, China for a semester where I taught English
to preschool aged children. It was a wonderful experience and I fell in love
with teaching and knew I wanted to come home and pursue my degree in education.
After two years at Mesa Community College, I went to Utah to continue to my
education at BYU, while working as a Preschool Aide at Mountainland Headstart
Preschool.
My plans changed a bit
when I came home for a summer and fell in love, marrying my best friend in
November 2004. I did not return to
Utah and my education was put on hold.
Within a year, my husband got a job at the University of Phoenix, and I
decided to finish my degree and graduated with a degree in Management (because
at the time they did not offer degrees in Education).
I continued to gain
experience working with children, as I worked at a child care center, while
finishing my school and was grateful to be able to quit working and become a
stay at home mom when I had my first little boy in January of 2007! That year I was able to co-teach
preschool with my sister out of her home and learned so much from her! In 2008,
we added another beautiful boy to our family and in 2009, we moved into our
current home and I immediately began teaching preschool from my home, which has always been my dream! I had another boy in 2011, which kept life FUN with 3 young boys and we just recently added a princess to the mix in June of 2014. I am thankful for the opportunity I have to be a mom first and yet
still be able to do something I absolutely love, which is teaching young
children!
